Rental Agreement
What you are renting, and what it costs
Effective date: September 11, 2026
This agreement is between Jewel Syndicate, LLC, doing business as The Slush Lounge, and the person renting. By checking the agreement box, paying a deposit, or accepting delivery, you agree to these terms and confirm you are at least 18 years old.
What's included. A single or dual tank commercial slushy machine, delivery and setup at your event location, cups, straws, and a mobile serving cart if needed. Our standard mixes are made with real cane sugar, and sugar-free and dye-free options are available on request. We do not provide an attendant, so the machine is self-serve after setup.
Rental period. Your rental covers your event day. For daytime and early evening events, we collect the equipment the same day at an agreed time. For events running past 9:00 PM, we collect the following morning by 10:00 AM, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Some venues do not allow equipment to be left on site overnight, so if yours does not, tell us when you book and we will schedule same-night collection. Keeping the equipment beyond the agreed collection time without our approval costs $25 per hour.
Pricing. Single tank $175. Dual tank $225. Toppings $10 each.
Payment. A $50 deposit is due when you book, and your date is not reserved until it is paid. The remaining balance is due at delivery, before setup begins; we will send an invoice you can pay online in advance if you prefer. Online we accept credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Venmo. We also accept cash, due before setup begins.
What you are responsible for
Setup. You are responsible for safe, clear access for delivery including parking; a level, stable, dry surface; a working, grounded three-prong outlet near the setup area; room around the machine for air flow; and confirming your venue permits our equipment and our vehicle.
Power. Each machine runs on standard 110-120V, 60 Hz household power and needs an outlet on a circuit not shared with other high-draw appliances. No extension cords, and not the same circuit as a fridge, freezer, microwave, space heater, bounce house blower or sound system. If a machine underperforms because of inadequate power at your location, that is not an equipment fault and no refund is due.
Freeze time. Machines need roughly 45 minutes to 1.5 hours after setup to reach serving temperature. Please schedule accordingly. We are not responsible for product not being ready if setup was booked too close to your start time.
If we cannot set up. If we arrive and cannot deliver or set up because access, surface or power are not as described, or nobody is there to receive us, this is treated as a same-day cancellation and no refund is due.
During the rental. You are responsible for the machine from delivery until pickup. Use it only for its intended purpose. Do not move it from the setup location without our approval. Do not tamper with, disassemble, modify or repair it. Keep the area around it clean and open for air flow, keep it protected from weather and from being knocked over, supervise it and keep children away from it, and make sure it is accessible at the agreed pickup time. Tell us immediately if something goes wrong: (707) 718-2868.
Alcohol. We do not provide, sell, serve or supply alcohol of any kind. We rent equipment and, where ordered, non-alcoholic mix, and we are not present during your event. If you choose to add alcohol: you supply it, you add it, you serve it. You are solely responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local law, including California Alcoholic Beverage Control requirements and any permit your event or venue requires. You will not serve anyone under 21 years of age and you accept full responsibility for verifying age. You are responsible for monitoring consumption and for the conduct and safety of your guests. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless from any claim, damage, injury, death, fine, penalty or legal cost arising from alcohol added to, served from, or consumed in connection with the rented equipment. This section survives the end of the rental.
Damage, loss and cleaning. Damage beyond normal wear and tear: you pay the cost of repair, or replacement value if it cannot be repaired. Loss or theft: you pay full replacement value. Excessive cleaning: half the rental price, so $87.50 for a single tank and $112.50 for a dual tank. Missing cups, cart or accessories are charged at replacement cost. Damage to your venue caused by your handling or by moving the machine is your responsibility. We document condition at delivery and pickup, and charges are invoiced within 14 days.
Food safety. We supply the mix in the flavors you select and fill the machine at setup. Once we leave, the product is in your hands, and how it is stored, refilled and served is up to you. We are not liable for allergic reactions or dietary concerns related to the mix; a full ingredient list is available on request before your event, and telling your guests what is in it is your responsibility. We are not liable for illness or injury arising from product stored, handled, refilled or served by you or your guests, or from anything you add to it.
Risk, liability and legal
Assumption of risk. Rented equipment carries inherent risks, including electrical hazards, slipping on spilled product, and injury from mishandling or moving equipment. You accept those risks for yourself and your guests. The Slush Lounge is not responsible for injuries, accidents or incidents occurring during use of the equipment. You assume full responsibility for safe use at your event.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Jewel Syndicate, LLC, The Slush Lounge, and its owners and agents from any claim, loss, liability, damage, injury, death, cost or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or connected with your use of the equipment, any alcohol added to or served from the equipment, product served at your event, the conduct of you or your guests, or your breach of this agreement.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability under this agreement will not exceed the amount you paid for the rental. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits or the cost of an event not going to plan. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.
Weather and outdoor events. For outdoor setups you are responsible for shade or cover, and the machine must not be exposed to rain. Rain on its own is not grounds for a refund, because providing cover is your responsibility. If conditions make delivery or setup genuinely unsafe for our staff or the equipment, we will not set up — that counts as our cancellation and you receive a full refund, including the deposit. If we cannot set up because the access, surface, power or shelter are not as you described, or nobody is there to receive us, that is a same-day cancellation and no refund is due.
Insurance. We carry general liability insurance. It does not cover your guests, your venue, or anything arising from alcohol or product you supply. You are encouraged to confirm your own or your venue's coverage. Some venues require a certificate of insurance from vendors, so tell us at booking if yours does and we will provide one.
Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
General. This agreement, your booking confirmation and our Refund Policy are the whole agreement. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stands. You cannot assign this rental to anyone else without our written permission. California law governs, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Solano County, California.
How your booking is confirmed. Sending the request form is a request, not a reservation. We check availability and send you a quote with a link to reserve. Your date is confirmed once you have agreed to this Rental Agreement and paid the $50 booking deposit — not before. By agreeing, you confirm you are at least 18, have read these terms, and accept them.
